To be clear: We have to plan to win twice. We have to beat them overwhelmingly at the ballot box. Then we have to swiftly and forcefully smack down any and all ridiculous bullshit they try to take away that victory. We can win both the election and the aftermath — but only if we’re ready.

They thought they were going to win the election without any problems. Now, when that is unlikely, they are working hard on how to succeed with the coup this second time. However, Trump and the "GOP" are not in the position to block army reinforcements or other countermeasures this time.
Some of them are going to show up with guns. Fascism isn't likely going to go down without exposing itself as utterly incompatible with society, and that's going to be bad.

Political "double tap"
I would almost say you have to win 3 times? I mean, good to focus on twice to begin with. But I think passing pro-democracy legislation ASAP after the election has to be seen as part of the project bc it's the only way to stall the current cycle of "we need to win each time to keep fascism at bay".
And we need to remember that we are in a different space now where there is more of a track record in some places of lawless and unprincipled litigation actually getting past summary judgment.
I fully expect this time to be a judicial coup attempt
People should prepare to go without power for a couple of weeks as best as they are able to do within the constraints of their finances & living situation. They've been openly plotting to take out the national grid, & there have already been many practice runs on substations, testing defenses.
What sort of things do you think we could do to prepare? The ballot box part is pretty simple but I don’t know where to begin if we see another Jan 6 go down, and potentially in a distributed fashion 🤔
