LMFAO I completely forgot about that but you’re correct
like idk man this shit just reeks of “why would you play the old game when the shiny new game is right there, please play the new game with the mtx and battle pass it’s the only reason bandai lets me make tekken anymore”
basically between April and September they completely changed the entire game concept lmfao
At Evo Japan, the game had a more traditional tag/assist system, but at TGS, it’s been reworked to now have BFTG’s assist takeover mechanic, where calling assist performs the attack, then pressing assist again has the assist take over as the new point character
I’m afraid to ask about whatever tragedy lies there lmao
I mean I already blame Bushiroad for the game transforming from MVC3-2 (feat TVC) to Power Rangers Battle for the Grid 2 so it all checks out
the way that weight classes work in VF is really good, imo. it's basically just a very naturalistic way of giving characters different life totals, since heavier = lower float = less damage. also opens up space for characters like Taka who get to create new extremes for the system
broad strokes is discarding tiles that don't deal into your opponents. generally requires paying attention to what's in your opponents' discard piles and trying to figure out what they're building and what they can/can't take from you
I’ve found it really difficult to find match footage showcasing specific players in general tbh
