I don't know what to do about this cat situation with Pumpkin. He was desperate to go out, escaped after 3 days with me healing from his neuter & paw stitches, & went home. He was trying so hard to get out to his family all day that the carpet by my door is covered in a pile of scratching threads.

Cat-like, but not a cat. Hoplophoneus lived in N. America 35-29 million years ago and was a nimravid - sabertoothed carnivores closely-related to, but distinct from, true cats. Many nimravid skulls have bite marks made from other nimravids, suggesting they fought by biting at the eyes and face. 🧪
