Ha! Amazing what they pick up.
Fair enough, if people are reclaiming the term then all power to them! People are understandably pissed off at being treated as a failure (especially women) if they've failed to produce offspring. This was my introduction to the concept: amzn.eu/d/ajkFbRl
I think the preferred term is "child free" rather than suggesting something is missing from a "childless" relationship (not that I think you were implying that.) Definitely agree with the point though, we thought hard before having our son and would never have more.
My 4 year old went on a playdate a few days ago. The mum watching him sent us this - an apt summary of his experience of the NHS ๐คฃ:
FOR FUCK'S SAKE Once again collective human labour is having to undo disastrous capitalist crap
1: AI is hallucinating events, historical figures, entire concepts on Wikipedia 2: a task force of Wikipedia editors is detecting and deleting this stuff www.404media.co/the-editors-...
WikiProject AI Cleanup is protecting Wikipedia from the same kind of misleading AI-generated information that has plagued the rest of the internet.
"I'd rather bet on AI solving the problem." AI is literally just a fancy Madlib generator that can only mix 'n match text it's already seen. It can't think or reason about anything and the only way it could output anything useful about the climate crisis is if it has scraped something a human wrote.
Trans Safety Network call on all British sports governing bodies and anyone involved in organising women's sports to take a visible public stance against this clear threat to sport and its participants.

Completely useless isn't the correct framing. Not worth the cost is a better one. The cost to writers whose work was stolen. The cost to the environment as emissions sky rocket. The potential legal liability if incorrect advice is given. I'd recommend pivot-to-ai.com for a good analysis.
