As it is almost October, here are some brilliant #Halloween picturebooks for you. The last few are a bit dark. They are all fab though.
Think both these have the Echo story in but can’t be definite, till I check my copies at work. The Atticus is more accessible for younger children, but the Orchard book is absolutely beautiful and wonderfully written.
What a beautiful book… Love Fairytales and think all children should know them. This version of “Grimm’s Fairy Tales” by #SandraDieckmann are all wonderfully told and stunningly illustrated. They carry that bit of darkness that all the best versions have. Totally recommended.
They have been so generous with their time and art.
Loved being part of the panel to longlist these for The UKLA book awards. We looked at over 150 amazing books and whittled them down to this very special collection. Everyone of them is a winner and would be brilliant in school. #UKLA#UKLABookAwards2025#TeacherBookAwards
Really proud that some of the letters sent to our school by brilliant illustrators are going to be part of an exhibition at our local museum/art gallery celebrating illustration.
Love this wonderful insight into an inventor’s process… “The Running Machine” by Keith Negley is a fab story of how Karl Drais driven by necessity created the first bicycle. The trail and error approach of an inventor is wonderfully realised. Great stuff. #PicturebookPage
No and you can’t make me! At best they’ve done a good ep.
Oasis were always dreadful. Turgid lad rock. Music for people who don’t like music.
Good PR team. ;-)
