Any tips for people who feel burnout brewing? I’m frustrated at lack of momentum, and backwards turns in public sector design- but so attached to the problem, and I’m convinced there’s enough smart and kind folk to do it. But starting to massively doubt myself, am I doing this all wrong?

This is the life that most carers live. It’s lonely, sad, depressing and desperate. The help available is minimal and costly. No one sees or cares about the struggles that carers face.

Yeah, let’s chat- as even when a benefit ends often the relationship with the service provider doesn’t. I’d like to see a move away from thinking about transitions between sets of rules eg dla>pip and more transitions around support needs caring>grieving.

Applying for a benefit, in the main is not a whole service. Planning for retirement, getting government financial support, help to mediate a disagreement with my landlord- they are services. But had *so* many people shout me down I’m doubting myself- so it’s easier to just stay in benefit line silos

I’m often asked “what is a service?”, in my experience, as bad faith way to strangle conversations about cross-product/ dept. join up. Having something to point to & say services can be transactional permissions but *also* span years & be relational- particularly within welfare or health provision.
