losing my dog of 13 years a month ago marked a very hollow scope of my adulthood...with so little to show for all that hard work because a lot of abuse or economic issues took so many chances away. at least my dog was a huge part of getting through that but..god yeah you're absolutely right

now I am in a position of semi-stability, even relationship-wise, but I think so many of us are so shell shocked it's like I'm still playing a waiting game of "ok but like, so when does *this* get taken away from me as well?"
