This is close. Vance is a striver. He knows what he's doing is despicable, but he's willing to do whatever what it takes to get in line for the Presidency. I think Walz could flummox him by pointing it out & asking how he reconciles it with his family. There's a stark dissonance there.

Vance won't break down & cry tears of repentance, but this will make him very, very angry. It's a bit risky because it will be played as Walz going after his family, but Vance is the one going after his own family.
