The scene in Hollow Heart where Chara meets Papyrus is still one of my favourite things I've ever written. #undertale#fanfiction

A moment later, a familiar skull popped out from the kitchen entryway. "WELCOME HOME," Papyrus said cheerfully. "I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW YOU LEFT." He caught sight of me, and his expression brightened further. "OH, HELLO FRISK," he greeted, before ducking back into the kitchen. A few seconds went by, and he slowly poked his head back out to look at me with suspiciously narrowed eyesockets. "WAIT…" His… entire eyesockets (???) darted back and forth between me and Sans. "SANS… DID YOU CLONE FRISK?" I had to fight to avoid breaking down into helpless giggling. "Oh, I'm not Frisk's clone," I assured him, before putting on my best creepy smile (not the melty one; just a regular creepy smile). "I'm Frisk's evil doppelganger, returned from a century of imprisonment to plunge the world into darkness." "... OH." Papyrus' face brightened up again. "WELL THAT SOUNDS FUN. CAN I HELP?"
