I'm always confused at this nonsense b/c Black musicians have been integral to country music since the beginning. At the Country Music Hall of Fame, the display for the "father" of country music, Jimmie Rodgers, mentions he learned how to play from and imitated the songs of Black country bluesmen.

I grew up in the rural south. I used hunt and fish. I helped out on a farm on occasion. I may or may not have sold moonshine in high school. They can't tell me what country is.
