like at what point does it become RUDE for them to be barefoot instead of just worrisome to people who are concerned about idk broken glass or hookworm or have oldfashioned ideas about needing shoes for developing a stride

because i don't think i put on shoes for the first maybe 5 or 6 years of my life but i also did not live in a city. but also we live in portland so the ettiequte might be different from other cities, more casual?
