Three Black people in the room and the white guy talks the most about how he's so upset about what's being said about Zionism. This is why this book is important.

RE: the E. Lily Yu thing. A selection of my remarks from a FB thread.

I just read one of the addenda. None of that is good statistics or good science. I don't care how many times you quote Chomsky, it's not. She measures men, women, and black people. Are Black people not men and women, again? She applies incongruent criteria to overlapping data sets and wonders why people are dissatisfied with her "conclusions." A lot of it is just whining that people didn't like what she said.
Oh dear, my partner had time and keystrokes. Yes, partner is Asian.
"Let me just go on record that I am not going to take a person's data driven arguments that certain subgroups are more violent than others when I see her group her data like 1) men 2) women 3) black people. What a lovely way for this Asian woman to make clear that she is a firm supporter of white supremacy. There are people, and then there are Black people. The latter are in a completely separate category from the former as far as she is concerned and she has organized her data accordingly.
When she goes on to apply her "math" to 1) men 2) women 3) men who claim to be women it's clear she don't care that one of the three designations requires a heavily discouraged self-reporting. Suffice it to say, measures of who is trans in this country will severely undercount the number of trans people in the denominator she is going to use to calculate the dangers "men who consider themselves women" pose to "women". this is your yearly reminder that activated charcoal, probably the most popular thing to use to make food black, interferes with your absorption of medication, including birth control. Enjoy the season safely.

Steph Smith: Sometimes in the process of writing a good enough prompt for ChatGPT, I end up solving my own problem, without even needing to submit it.
