This skewed view, increasing over time for decades, makes people either: - feel like shit about themselves for not matching the physiology of someone spending thousands a month on steroids - worrying about looking like someone spending thousands a month on steroids, by accident

Iā€™m talking about Dick Cheney and not Liz because both Harris and Biden praised Dick Cheney today. ICYMI:

"One of most consequential speeches I've ever heard. She has character. I know her dad. We argue like hell but I always admired his courage and honesty. What she did - physical courage. I've never been so proud...Character dammit is what we need in this country!"

Welcome to memorization tricks. Visualization. Pictures. Mnemonics like acronyms. Make it sound like a song. Write it out. Break it into chunks. Teach it to somebody else. Be an actor memorizing lines. Hack your brain so it makes sense to you visually, verbally, process-wise, drawing, what ever work

Healthy Paws, $35 a month or something. Having that meant we avoided the ā€œdo we spend $10k to try and keep our pet alive?ā€ conversation. That alone was worth it. (Not having to pay the $15k it actually cost was also nice) Please do it. Like today, donā€™t wait.

Fear of prosecution is not only powerful in the abstract, but dilutes decisionmaking in institutions. Management; lawyers; presidings; receptionists; etcā€”all of them have a role in prescribing appropriate behavior, but can tell themselves they didnā€™t make The Decision.

I think published examples, published stories, and accountability of DOCTORS, ADMINISTRATORS, and POLITICIANS would be INCREDIBLY HELPFUL for people LOBBYING AGAINST these policies. You either face the TRUTH or you are doing something CORRUPT.

that doesn't seem to be the case

She'd taken abortion pills and encountered a rare complication; she had not expelled all of the fetal tissue from her body. She showed up at Piedmont Henry Hospital in need of a routine procedure to clear it from her uterus, called a dilation and curettage, or D&C.
But just that summer, her state had made performing the procedure a felony, with few exceptions. Any doctor who violated the new Georgia law could be prosecuted and face up to a decade in prison.
Thurman waited in pain in a hospital bed, worried about what would happen to her 6-year-old son, as doctors monitored her infection spreading, her blood pressure sinking and her organs beginning to fail.
It took 20 hours for doctors to finally operate.
By then, it was too late.

ā€œTheir culture and their Catholic faith are rich and deep. We want them to be a part of us and to feel welcome. These are talented, often professional people, with much to offer. They fled because their jobs are gone, or they canā€™t perform their work in safety," says Springfield's Catholic pastor.

"Jennyā€™s family ā€œcouldnā€™t have possibly dreamedā€ of being where they are today. For them, the irony of the Texas legislation is that it was passed on the premise that it would be good for families, when it caused their family nothing but harm." www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/23...
