I don't think I've ever been so rationally angry and helpless as I was this afternoon while walking my nephew from school and hearing him tell me that they did an 'active shooter drill' at school today before PE.

I remember in Elementary School when we did School Lockdowns and were locked in our classes and told to hide in a corner of the room away from the door, got in trouble once when I was in the bathroom and ran back scared. And then in High School it was finally changed to Run Hide Fight, still freaky

This is not okay.
