A fun way to watch out for fellow bikers it to purchase a box of cheap USB charge lights to keep on hand. I keep a few in my pannier to hand out to bikes I encounter without lights ❤️
Haha, same! When my phone does those "on this day 3 years ago" things for me it's all pictures of bike infra and home repair projects/ replacement parts I need to purchase 😂
Totally agree! I live it a small suburb "city" of 100k and we would LOVE to move to a "bigger" city with more alternatives to cars; unfortunately every city we've checked out so far brings us MORE in contact with cars and their danger/noise etc... so we're still in our small suburb city 😞
Additionally, by making cities less car dependent and reducing sprawl it will actually be helping preserve the country/ agricultural land! Really, rural/city are kind of on the same team when fighting sprawl IMO.
It's low key changed my life to see car dependency. I never thought about it before even though I hated driving everywhere and the danger it posed to my kids, but now that I've seen it I want out so bad. It all started with riding my bike on a few errands for fun 🤪
I'm just glad it's finally getting cool enough to pull out some fun heavier fabrics and layers! Though I'm actually looking forward to it getting a bit colder, it's still kinda hot in the sun during the day (especially while pedaling) 😜 Fall begins when I can wear my Harris Tweed sport coat haha.
He seems like a nice guy, but I've been disapointed with his perspective multiple times. Unfortunately, he seems to not understand how infrastructure changes save lives even if people don't act perfect on the roadway.
My kids said it looks like a urinal laying on it's back and rolling down the street when we saw one 😂
