Essentially yes. Servers will be fully moddable and re-codable in addition to having support for scripting though (unless they've changed this)
I don't know if it's that a lot of people don't know it, or that they keep forgetting it, but: Hytale's *client* will not be open to modding. Only the servers are shared source, and AFAIK the client will only be modifiable using the game's scripting language.
Never got into FNAF but I'm so glad the people who enjoy got such a good movie! Everything I've heard about it seems to say that it was very much made for the fans, and the people involved in it went out of their way to make it that way.
