inktober day 18/ 30k poems page 18: "You may to remember that Some people like the smell of gasoline" 🔥 I tried to paint what spillage of gasoline looks like on concrete

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page. Abstract watercolor inspired by spilled gasoline on concrete.
Full illustrated poetry page, in watercolor and pen. The poem is:
"You may need to remember that
Some people like the smell of gasoline
They wear it as perfume, it’s addicting
Intoxicating
Toxic in and out;
You shouldn’t love them too close
For a single match would light you both afire
Their danger might be enticing
But, like a moth to a flame,
They’ll cost you more than a wing.
Gasoline people are an expensive taste —
Beware of the price to pay
To get free of their stench"

I LOVE Kiki teasing Namari, they're so fucking cool 😭💖💖💖 Namari wishes she could match Kiki's freak...... 😌✨ #DungeonMeshi#kikimari (based on a since erased Twitter exchange)

A comic strip of 3 panels depicting two characters from Dungeon Meshi. This is first panel: Kiki and Namari are standing next to each other, and Kiki says: "I love having slutty boys hips because I can step out of the shower and do the towel thing and it looks soooo good". Namari is visibly flustered at her words.
This is second panel: a closeup of Namari's blushing face. She's scratching the back of her neck, and looking away while saying: "Would thy "slutty boys hips" not be better suited for cuirass and sword belt?"
Third panel: we're back to Namari and Kiki standing next to each other. Kiki, clearly amused, cheekily replies: "mine hips are well suited for a belt but I fear it's for a different kind of sword my liege". Namari gets fully red in my face at the innuendo.

#inktober day 12/ 30k poems page 12: "I've caught a metaphor for you" 🔦 (i didn't find a lamppost emoji fjfkkf) This lamppost poem is presented by my love of projecting onto inanimate objects 😹

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page, showing a watercolor lamppost bend over with wires sticking out by the side of a road. Behind it smaller, cartoonish lampposts are bent in all kind of ways.
Illustrated watercolor poetry page of a poem I wrote: "I've caught a metaphor for you;
The same lamppost gets run over
Again and again:
As soon as it is fixed,
It will be down by the morrow;
This is a tale of —
Poor street planning
Or — life wearing you down to the live wire nerves but
In the face of so much hardship, you persist
Getting back up one
More
Time
Just in case something beautiful were to happen next
To see one more sunset
Share one last dessert
Write one more poem
About a lamp post
Run over every time it stands up for itself."

#inktober day 11/ 30k poems page 11: "Honest Truth" 🫂 This one today is bittersweet, because I try to have a bit of everything in this poetry series! I especially like that last line, because it says: if everything is loveable, then so am I.

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page, of a watercolor illustration of a skeleton and a masked person dancing. The mask is of a black rat face, with big red eyes. The skeleton's skull is on fire, they're both naked.
Illustrated poetry page of a poem I wrote: "Honest truth:
I didn't think I'd be here today.
But years went by, and I haven't died yet
(Sorry I tried to)
Others did instead
(Their absence incurable)
Grief takes its toll and pound of flesh —
Morbid how fearing death made me obsess
Over a feeling now numb(er)
The loss, a hole in my soles…
I'm glad I stuck around so far.
It's a lucky feat to be alive
To fall in love everyday
With the littlest things.
I found out nothing is unloveable"

inktober day 10/ 30k poems page 10: "I had forgotten to stop To smell the roses" 🌹 Spider tw ! (I'm tired but I'm glad I finished this second page today, I really like it 🥹)

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page, depicting a watercolor drawing of a person smelling a rose as big as their head, with a big glowing white spider amongst its petals.
Illustrated poetry page of a poem I wrote: "I had forgotten to stop
To smell the roses
To be present
To take the time
To truly see whatever catches my eye
A white spider walks amongst pink petals
Capturing my full attention
Its legs are clear
Its body round like a berry
It is a lovely meet —
How glad I am that I stopped to smell the roses!"

#inktober day 9/ 30k poems page 9: "I want to stop picking at My skin" 👁️‍🗨️ I'm sorry this page is a day late, but I'll try to double post today! Anyway, idk if you'll like this new page since it's quite different from my precious ones, but I don't hate it! 💋

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page, of a watercolor and colored pencils drawing of two hands over an open book with black blood, knifes and thorns coming out of it.
Illustrated poetry page of a poem I wrote: "I want to stop picking at
My skin
(but I'm so good at it!)
My hands are peppered with
(paper, bread, knife) cuts
Always by accident,
I swear! (But it feels so good to
Leave scars
As proofs of life)
A perfect skin is a blank page;
I write my own history onto
The canvas I was born with"

#inktober day 8/ 30k poems page 8: "A knitter knits every day" 🧶 I really like today's page! I hope you're not to sick of seeing Sirady 🐸💖 thank you to everyone who reads my little poems... It means the world to me...

Closeup of an illustrated poetry page, of a watercolor humanoid frog knitting a scarf with a pattern of a rat and a heart on it. The frog is wearing a Pierrot white costume.
Illustrated poetry page of a poem I wrote:
"A knitter knits every day
They knit all kind of knits they do not wear
Simply for the love of knitting
They count and think in stitches
Knit two together two at the time
Slip, slip, pass over and,
Gasp!
Drop a stitch.
But the knitter does not care for a perfect knitwear;
For a knit with mistakes will always be warmer
Than half a knit leftover."

#inktober day 7/ 30k poems page 7: "A bat flew into my room at night;" 🦇💖 I feel like I didn't make a good page today, because I rushed myself otherwise I wouldn't have finished it in time... Was it worth it? You tell me!

Closeup of an illustrated page of painted bats smiling.
Illustrated watercolor page of a poem I wrote:
"A bat flew into my room at night;
The following full moon,
Another bat invited themselves too
This is not a bat hotel! I shouted from my bed,
(so what if I got a tattoo of a bat in boots?)
(I can't stop drawing bats, this is insane)
Scotty, you're going batty!"
