Nothing says “I have never held a senior job in a modern workplace”, like believing HR is a tool of leftwing wokery.

oh this is like when they blame political correctness for banning mildly dangerous things and it turns out they just can’t afford to get sued by predatory lawyers, isn’t it?

I mean... it takes the smallest leap of thought: Human resources=>People as capital=>Capitalism=>Neither leftwing or 'woke' (if woke means being nice to people)

Or "HR gave me some trouble after I blew past my 10th gentle warning about harassing people and they had no alternative"

I can see how you believe it if your only interaction with HR are the global emails, the company “bonding activities”, but if you’ve ever had to fire anyone you know it is a bit more complex than that.

LOL! Or even a mid- or low-level job in an office. My experience was always that HR existed for one reason and one reason only: to provide cover for the boss, and protect the boss from the employees. OK, technically that's two reasons, but still.

When I started studying HR and moving in that direction from operations I remember telling my ex CEO. I loved his response. That’s perfect for you Nicole, a very likeable ball buster!

Covering for serial sexual harassers is woke.

The purpose of HR is to force you to take hours of trainings on workplace etiquette and then gaslight you into believing you're the problem for pointing out all the ways your boss routinely violates those policies.

are these the same people who decry the BBC rightly for Saville when there were no proper HR procedures etc or we even see modern failures like Schofield ?
