overall, ive realized the SU community is surprisingly queerphobic despite being one of the most diverse shows. the characters and yourself have to fit in this box, or you get a lot of hate. it's gotten better now that the community has been inactive but it's still shitty
remembering the time an artist i looked up to and was inspired by called me an allo despite being asexual and demiromantic, all over peridot's unclear asexuality. and proceeded to vague me on twitter. eeuughh. i hope they grew and changed as a person
there is something to be studied about misandrist/terf lesbians, because ive noticed a lot of infighting comes from that subcommunity
and of course, you have misandrist lesbians claiming lesbiphobia of anyone and rebecca because one character out of the many queer women in the show showed one slight interest in a man. wonderful (sarcasm)
finding out that in SU, pearl and greg's relationship was going to he explored more but due to biphobia it was canned is genuinely heartbreaking. these characters are based off of her as she said in an interview, and she couldn't do what she wanted with them

Instead of shaming people for not using alt-text we should be emphasizing that using alt-text benefits you, the poster, by: 1. helping your posts reach a wider audience 2. giving context to your posts 3. making your posts more searchable 4. giving you an extra opportunity to sneak in jokes
