Thank you! Yes, it's "efficient" given all the assumptions about goals, methods, assessments, etc. But once you question any of them, the whole thing unravels.
I appreciate @susandblum.bsky.social highlighting this: as people who support/cultivate teaching and learning, we are working with(in) systems that can make teaching and learning more 'efficient,' which is not the same as making teaching and learning more effective (or, to her point, meaningful).
