I will never in my life forget Trump saying in September 2020 of Roe v. Wade that “there’s nothing happening there.” Republicans are using this strategy again by downplaying the threat of a national abortion ban, calling it ridiculous and crazy. My first for MSNBC:

Beyond his familiar vague denial, can we discuss his (quite intentional) framing of our bodily autonomy as a binary choice between woman & family. His “pro-family” language is mirrored in Project 2025, where they inextricably link our rights & societal value to the noble sacrifice of motherhood

The party saying "trust us, there won't be a national abortion ban" is the same one that claimed Roe would never be overturned. Even JD Vance acknowledged last night that voters (rightly) don't trust them on this issue. www.msnbc.com/opinion/msnb...
