When I was maybe 8 we did a kids art project on Monet. 20 years later I lost my passport on a work trip to France and had to do an unplanned stop in Paris to get a temporary one. Turns out the Musée Marmottan Monet is in walking distance from the embassy. Seeing the paintings felt like coming home

If you’re writing about research, say it comes from a lab in Japan / Australia / Finland / Chile / etc. rather than calling the researchers Japanese / Australian / Finnish / Chilean / etc. Most research worth covering comes from a lab with multiple nationalities. (11/n)
