And the @svmiller.bsky.social {codename} shenanigans continue

🧑‍🍼🐬: Note on “motherly dolphin” project name
Because project titles change all the time with revisions, rewriting, and peer review, we used {codename} to generate a NICKA-style internal-to-us project name that won’t change.

library(codename)
codename_message()
#> code name generated by {codename} v.0.5.0. R version 4.4.1 (2024-06-14).

codename(seed = "990 rdd trust", type = "nicka")
#> [1] "motherly dolphin"

Just a reminder. Authoritarians use weaponized despair, fear, uncertainty, and doubt and claims of inevitability as a method to solidify their control and freeze the population in place as they do so. we do not have to be resigned to a fascist takeover no matter what the media tries to sell us.

I can't even imagine how different the world would be if she hadn't stopped the count. That timeline must be incredible.

Behind the bitter and boring fights about telling the public to keep voting harder to save democracy, there's the fact that the people we vote for chronically, systematically refuse to use their actual powers to defend the republic

This interview features what some Musk observers see as the "Good Elon" v. "Bad Elon" conundrum. Bad Elon came on stage, cursing critics. Now he has shifted to the Elon that can be humble, hopeful and thoughtful.
