I didn’t even know we had secret weather.

My wife is allergic to alliums so tonight I found some decent avocados in Quebec and made her some onion-free guacamole. This is apparently the way to a woman's heart..

Mostly I wish someone, anyone had said "That must have been tough for you" and offered me a hug though. (Friends who couldn't be physically present did offer me a lot of love and support though)

Most people have said "Oh, yeah, I can see that.". An ex girlfriend was delighted that technically her gold star had been restored (in jest!)

On the converse, when I came out to my wife... it was sort of a variant of "I need some time to think about this." It took.. uhh.. two weeks or so before we both came out of panic mode.

After we were done talking, when she bounded upstairs, happy as a clam, I broke down crying. Not because I was upset about her identity, but because I realized I'd told her exactly what I'd wished my parents had said.

When my daughter came out to me, I said "Ok honey, you know I love you no matter what. Do you need anything from me? Should I use a different name or pronouns? Would you like a hug?"

Only one?

My wife rewatching some old 90s sitcoms: "...wow. It was pretty much just wall-to-wall 'men vs women' with sprinkles of homophobia and transphobia back then, and even when the women 'win' it's somehow misogynistic." Yeah. Pretty much.
