Whether or not one is successful, I remind everyone to give our colleagues credit for putting in the time just trying to apply for SSHRC.
Although the number of kids under 5 living in Southern Ontario is falling, in most places in S. Ontario it's actually rising. How? Most of the decline is isolated to a few places: City of Toronto, York Region, Peel Region, and the City of Ottawa.

Perhaps I'm optimistic - when I looked at WFH arrangements, it looks like both new moms and dads are enjoying this. I think it's on us more senior folks to support normalizing the less-greedy jobs and find ways to make it work
