I really hope Bluesky stays like this, free and ad-free. I think relying on donations or selling vanity items like skins, profile pics, etc is the way.

They gotta make money somehow. I don’t love ads, but at the end of the day it has been the easiest way to keep internet content free. Idk how you pay for things to run without ad revenue — but I’d love to see other possibilities!
