Two Martians were out one day hiking, Who found a new plant to their liking. So craving a munch, They sat down to lunch, And signals stopped coming from Viking. #limerick

I've tried to locate this ad on YouTube, but can't find it. Seriously, click through and watch it. They've taken an iconic Billy Graham speech warning about the need for evangelicals to stand on guard against false prophets, and then Trump fitting every part of his description.

Loving Rider's extremely normal grammar suggestions.

A grammar suggestion from JetBrains Rider, suggesting that "mid" should be followed by a hyphen. It gives the example of "He woke up mid-sleep and screamed".

Been painting up some Muppet/Lord of the Rings minis lately; I think they’re looking pretty good so far.

Beaker as Frodo Baggins
Rowlf the dog as Gandalf the gray
Miss Piggy as Galadriel
Sam the eagle as Saruman the white

For 1/35th of the price of a PS5 Pro you can get a copy of Hexahedra on Steam right now. Hexahedra lets you use lasers to read the state of cubes in your factory, so unlike Sony I'm throwing in the optical drive for free. store.steampowered.com/app/1248420/...

It’s nearly the weekend, you know what that means. This week the theme is…grey. So let’s see your art in all 50 shades As usual I’ll repost the lot. #Nerdlings#FindFolkFriday

Shark squig!

A squig, think a two legged frog/lizard that’s mostly teeth and rage, in shark colours. Light grey underneath, darker on top.

They’re bounding over the grass, probably looking to bite something

I don't pay much attention to the Windows lock screen info, but I've noticed that while the Olympics medal table appeared this year, there's nothing for the Paralympics. They're not on Bluesky to tag, and it's a small thing, but it'd be great if the Windows team gave Paralympians equal prominence.

The Windows lock screen. Info boxes for weather, the stock market, traffic, and the English Premier League are here, but nothing for the Paralympics.

What is common knowledge in your field but shocks outsiders? Computers can't subtract numbers. If you ask a computer to work out "a-b", it: 1) Inverts "b" so that it has the value of "-b" available. It does this by flipping all the bits and adding 1 2) Adds "a" and "-b" together
