We don't though 🤣
Comparing black to blacker, tonight. A roughly English style (but higher abv) stout and a thick imperial stout. Style-wise, I don't really have a preference, but the Rock City was better, overall. Dark roast coffee, dark chocolate, some caramel, some leather. A complex balance, with a spicy finish.
Puhaste - Patt (American Porter) 👃🏻 Roasted, dark chocolate, prunes, coffee, touch of caramel 👁️ Pitch black, brown irregular dense foam. 👅 Soft mouthfeel, very smooth for the decent bitterness. Caramel sweetness. Chocolate, moving to coffee for the surprisingly refreshing, almost citrus finish.
The Butcher's Tears one is only used when you keep your fermentation vessel open, correct? ;-)
Very fitting to have a Kromme Haring glass feature as fermentation aid. :)
O'zapft is! Auf eine friedliche Wiesn!
