I am not claiming anything for MY orchard. But it is interesting iconography of new life. And I am interested in the interplay and merging of faith systems. Would you find it inappropriate for Māori to embrace Christian faith or motifs? No joke serious questions

Serious answer: It's not inappropriate because we forced Christianity on Māori. At best 'offered' it to them. Permission is implicit. Whereas, with a majority culture using iconography from a smaller, marginalised one, we risk diluting it, misunderstanding it, or profiting off the power imbalance.
