the very first promo image they released I was like "ehhhh" but as soon as I watched the premiere of the show and saw it all proper and animated I was like "yep, I'm onboard with it now" lol
Enjoyed the show a lot, but never got on board with the look.
Pre-premier, I didn't hate it, but it didn't excite me either. I was just like, "okaaay... let's see what they do with this". Maybe a little concerned that it was dumbing down to aim at a younger audience. All concerns abolished after the opening pilot. Cemented as one of the best shows by season 2
Really wasn’t for me at first. I mean I understood why they’d gone with it, and it made perfect sense given the landscape for cartoons at the time, but it wasn’t for me. Then I watched a few episodes and really came to appreciate it. Now I love it.
I've got to admit, I wasn't on board from day one. I really thought it would be the end of my collecting days. I never thought they would be able to recreate the aesthetic in toy form. I watched the first episode of the show and was hooked. I now lament that we didn't get more from the show.
I was a bit weary of it at first, but that was also when the movies were doing their completely different thing and Transformers felt a bit weird to me. Once I watched the show I was totally on board, but that was a few years later
I have never cared for the aesthetic, to be honest, but the story was so good that the style didn't matter so much to me. Also, I would rather see TF trying different aesthetics than stagnating, and inevitably I'll like some more than others.
Loved it, it was very different to anything that preceded it which was fun. I may have fallen out of love with the show as it went on. (Loved the first season, but my interest declined over the second, and I checked out at the start of the next), but I've never stopped loving the look.
Never got on board.
