And dammit, now I feel like rereading murderbot again for the umpteenth time.
Just finished the first Raksura novel by Martha Wells and really enjoyed (already got book 2 ready to go), but man, I was really hoping Moon and Chime would get together.
That is what itâs all about.
One for free: Forget Her by Jeff Buckley. One of my favorite songs of all time. Eery word and note in this song is perfect. Favorite (heartbreaking) line: âThe smell on the bed when I knew what sheâd done.â It still kills me every time.
This also goes for readers, not authors. Talk about the books youâre reading and loving. Hell, just mention youâre reading them. It works. I bought two books this week just because I saw someone mention them here.
About to embark on my first journey into Raksura. Iâve only read Martha Wellsâs Murderbot series so far, but everyone I know seems to love the Raksura series AND we just started a Wells Book Club over at Reactor (by @bookjockeyalex.bsky.social !) so I guess the time has come to jump inâŚ
I had the same reaction and had to look this up, literally less than an hour ago, when editing a review. English is weird.
So, I'm doing this big new Martha Wells reading project over at Reactor that I'm pretty excited about. I'll be reading or rereading almost all of her books over the next year or so and deep diving into them. This month I'm starting the whole thing with The Cloud Roads. reactormag.com/the-martha-w...
Between the diligent craftwork and the inclusive worldbuilding, it's easy to fall in love with the stories and characters of Martha Wells.
SOUL COUGHING REUNITED AND NO ONE TOLD ME?!?! Youâre all fired.
