Anyone see gauze on Trumpā€™s ear when he went golfing the day after the rally? Didnā€™t think so.

I just want to save this series of tweets for posterity. Hopefully, weā€™ll have a chance to go back over whatā€™s going on here when tempers have cooled.

Dan Shafer: Going through my notes from the Biden rally in Madison, Democrats so badly want to be talking about Trump and the policy contrast between the two parties. Every speaker hit on it, over and over. And there's so much there! But it's clearly not the story right now, and it can't be.

Because much of the Trump criticism is nothing new and what's happening with Biden is a bigger story, because there needs to be someone capable of defeating Trump and right now that's an open question.

/7 Justice Roberts smug and superior dismissal of the dissentsā€™ concerns seems to come to us via time warp from some time that never knew Trump. The danger of lawlessness he poses are manifest ā€” he and his followers brag of them. Only a liar or fool would dismiss them.

The Fourth of July will be a somber holiday this year.

The 14th Amendment says if you were involved in an insurrection you can't be president. SCOTUS said they won't allow anyone to enforce that because of reasons they made up. The Constitution doesn't say the president is immune from criminal law. SCOTUS decided he is because of reasons they made up.

I mean, the last time a sitting president was replaced as the candidate was LBJ, and he gave almost a yearā€™s notice. Anyway, I donā€™t remember how things turned out for the Democrats that year but Iā€™m just going to assume it went really, really well.

Biden is not losing 7 percent after one night, even that one. Heā€™s just not. Everyone forgets there were 2 guys on the stage last night, & unlike the professional panic brigade, most people saw both of them.
