This weeks #Lego#FossilFriday#Barosaurus In 1889, Postmistress of Postville, Ms Isabella R. Ellerman found the first fossils of Barosaurus. Later that year Othniel Charles Marsh and John Bell Hatcher excavated a small section of the remains. This consisted of six tail vertebra.

In 1898, Marsh's assistant George Reber Wieland returned and collected more vertebrae, ribs and limb bones. In 1919, Richard Swann Lull finally finished preparing and formally described Barosaurus 2/2
