I’ve been back in Columbus since Thursday. At first, I was counting the Harris/Walz signs I saw in people’s front yards. Franklin County is known as a blue jewel in Ohio. But I will say, I lived her through Biden’s run and this is a noticeable difference. People are excited, proud and unafraid.
I've noticed that too in upstate NY. More Harris/Waltz signs than recent left candidates AND fewer Trump signs. I'm sure people still hold their previous leanings but it's telling who wants to proclaim their vote and who doesn't.
We have friends/business up toward Alexandria/Johnstown and go up there a lot. WAY fewer Trump signs this time than the last two times. Immediately noticeable.
How long are you in town? I had so wanted to see you and Maggie at the library, but I was traveling. Would love to buy you a coffee or something just to meet you!
I haven't decided if I think the same thing here in Dayton is an upswing in momentum for Harris or just Trump supporters remembering they aren't supposed to say the quiet stuff out loud
Granted, I'm in the Clintonville neighborhood, but there are a TON of Harris/Walz signs. Probably ~20% of houses on the streets around me.
It was 2 to 1 Harris/Walz in my drive from Charlotte to Raleigh today. We literally counted.
I’ve been saying this about Pennsylvania for months now. There’s a huge enthusiasm gap for Trump. Even in the places where he’s popular it’s still nothing like it was 4 or 8 years ago. People are just sick of him!
I've spent a good part of the last 3 days driving through rural MO and IA. Still more Trump signs than Harris, but I've been pleasantly surprised at the number of Harris signs.
The thing that's noticeably changed for me is the lack of aggressive Trump representation outside the outer belt - I've seen one sedan flying a small Trump flag, and virtually no yard signs. The visible energy just isn't there.
There's a lot in my west Gahanna neighborhood.
