I’ve made my peace with the fact that if my mother ever needs full time care, I’ll have to get as many grants etc I can & keep her home. Nursing home care would mean me taking out a loan on the house. And no guarantee I’d get her a nursing home locally. Or a good one. Elder care is a crap shoot

It is the biggest crap shoot in the entire world. And what makes me so mad are the various private equity firms that own nursing homes. THAT should be illegal.
