A childhood memory reminds me I'm tougher than I think.
Amazing piece. Resonates with some of my experiences as one of the outsiders at around the same age. I think the only thing that saved me was I found a tribe of other weirdos and we stayed glued together in a little gay, autistic, boffin and oddball cabal until we’d got through to our later teens.
just now found the time to ead it, and it left me deeply moved. i know others who just about got through these kinds of things happening to them, and only recently i had the chance to tell someone how lucky i feel we still have them with us. we are lucky to have you, too, and you are so right. ❤️
