me, to self: I'll do anything to be free of this tendon pain and doing long runs again. anything. maybe I'll look into some of this garbage snake oil people are always claiming healed them six different ways or whatever self: ok did you do the PT exercises you're supposed to do today me: ...shut up
If it’s Achilles stuff, I did the exercises for months and what finally did the trick was just switching to some dorkety-ass 10mm drop shoes
Physical therapists probably aren't wizards but if they did turn out ot be wizards it would explain some things.
Mountain biking: the sport for the IPOS among us. (No really tho-heal up so you can get back to slaying trail.)
(meatloaf voice) I would do anything for runs but I won't do that
A guy I knew swore by garlic. He also said "If it's a placebo and it works... it still worked." Garlic's cheap, can't argue.
things I will not admit to my spine doctor include that the exercises she wants me to do involve lying on the floor and it can be kind of dusty down there
why is it so infuriating when they work?? i did my exercises this morning and was immediately mad when i felt better 😡
So sorry. I have broken both feet and one ankle and I feel lucky that I can still jog at 48. The months during recovery were brutal. Don’t know if it helps but I do some yoga as my warm ups before my runs and have been doing it for over 20 yrs. I think it’s why I still can jog
Do you have tendinopathy?
