Nigel Farage has been noticeably absent from his Clacton-on-Sea constituency, but can local residents trigger a by-election to change their elected representative?

Not sure I agree with the News Agents. Aren't Fridays are set aside for MPs to be in their constituencies? Therefore, Farage should have been in Clacton at least twice before recess.
I doubt whoever wins the Tory leadership this time - ie., Badenoch - will lead the Tories into the next election. Her double-egg-and-chips offer in response to 'They don't want egg and chips' ain't gonna fly. I suspect someone like Alicia Kearns will be imposed somehow, bypassing the membership.

Just another Parliamentary rule that needs to be tightened. We pay them a lot of money (plus expenses), yet there is no penalty for deserting their constituents and/or not appearing in Parliament? Nice job to have...
