The song’s lyrical structure and inspiration melody is that of the Irish folksong I have been learning to play on my own harp, “Eibhlín á Rún” (Eileen Aroon; I rec. the Clancy Bros. or Gráinne Yeats’ version!), but I have altered the melody semi-significantly I think… Hopefully I can record soon!

Oh i am so glad!!! Thank you! I have the notion of trying to write a series of in-world songs about the story and its setting by various musician characters over its years. I’m trying get a bardic-ballady vibe; if i could play it at a ren faire, I’ll consider it a success!

My WIP story/book is a high fantasy, queer & disabled character-led, chivalric romance tale inspired by the legend of “Tristan & Iseult”. A main protagonist is a singer & harpist, which is actually from WAY before I learned to play! It was meant as a reference to Tristan’s harp playing in the myth!
