Imagine looking around the landscape of higher ed, at the conditions that are shaping our ability to teach honestly and our students' ability to learn meaningfully, and saying "you know what? We should reduce the number of student accommodations." I mean, what the fuck /8

I want to write something larger on process vs purpose. This feels very much like, the rules matter much more than our stated goal of educating students. Better to sacrifice learning in the name of 'Learning." Though I am sure many smarter than me have and will address it.

Let's recognizing that we are living with pandemics, violence, creeping fascism--literal existential threats to many of us and our students--of course there's going to be mental health ramifications in all sorts of ways. To ignore our present context in a conversation about dis/ability is...yeah /9

College isn’t just for 18-21 year olds. Everyone ends up with some disability if they live long enough. I was a dyslexic 6 year old in 1960 but my small town optometrist was an expert on the subject. I was very lucky. I want that luck for everyone.
