The friendship hinging on if she remembers or not is insane to me. That just does not feel like very good writing. I just don't get what they were trying to do with Aerith and it really spoils the character for me. 😤

You know what's insane? Persona 3 (a game made in 2007) has more female to female relationship development in two fucking dialogue boxes than Rebirth (a game made in 2024) has in 100 hours of game play.

Remake set up such a nice springboard to more fully develop Tifa and Aerith's relationship and then Rebirth looked at that, said "what if we didn't," and punted it into the ocean
