A reminder that Bsky blocking works differently than Twitter: those you block are blocked from you + all interactions which emanate fr you. They can't see your posts or replies. They can't see who you follow nor who follows you. You won't be visible to their bksy searches. It phantom zones them.

Blocking instantly kills a troll's oxygen supply & disincentivizes their ability to harass. But for it to work we must use block on bad faith bad actors. We're under no obligation to coexist w/trolls. Bsky is not a town square, we're not mayors, & we don't need to "uphold" a troll's free speech.

That is helpful, thank you. Sorry if this is OT, but does it make sense to block "bot like" low activity followers? I don't have good language for this, but I've seen several followers that look like bot like, but mostly not trolling. Does anyone fuss with this, or am I being silly?
