The visuals in this scene from Mr Smith Goes To Washington are so bold. An entire seated dialogue scene with two near silhouettes in black & white against a marble wall. Only tiny bits of reflected light. It's the most visual way to show inner reflection in the shadows.

One of my favourite nostalgic genre nods in the show: The fence from Invaders From Mars worked into an establishing shot of St. Canard, for an episode that is itself a loving tribute to William Cameron Menzies classic.

I especially like how St. Canard appears in the Aduckyphobia episode, styled to feel more like backgrounds from the comic and animated versions of 1960s Spider-man. A really fun touch.

I would really love to see the full backgrounds as painted. St. Canard with the Audubon Bay bridge for me it is one of the best fictitious city designs ever created. It looks fantastic from any angle during both day & night scenes. There are so many great views of it across the series.
