Sigh. We used to have a class called Consumer Ec. that explained all that, but it’s probably been dropped for being woke or something.

We had "Government and Econ" in HS, but deciding to teach us "how to register to vote and file taxes" rather than "this is what supply and demand is" was purely an executive decision on my History teacher's part.

i teach high school. we offer financial literacy, and i have taught it (and yes, taught about checks) but up until THIS YEAR, it was not a required class. also about half the textbooks/online curriculum resources i have seen ignore checks as they are so rarely used by upcoming generations.
