C.S. Lewis has an oft-quoted line that, as a teacher, he felt his task was "not to cut down jungles but to irrigate deserts." I think that's good advice for social media as well. Rather than trying to cut down the stupid weeds, water your feed and grow what you love and want to see more of.

That's the first time I've heard this line but I am absolutely in love with it. It's a brilliant conclusion, and I wish more people followed it.
