many years ago some friends talked to me about 'caring too much' about social justice issues. i find it interesting, and more than a little gratifying, that these same friends are now ardent fighters for many of the things i cared too much about.

they seem pretty solid.

My gramps was an avid HAM operator until very nearly the day he died. 50 years of that was in North Bend, Oregon. iirc he helped a few young people in his neighborhood pursue their licenses.
