i'll post another Persicaria if and when i find an identifiable non-invasive specimen that actually has a single one of its hundreds of tiny, nearly-unphotographable flowers open 😡 even though it will be out of focus

Ha ha. I definitely understand this… I love jump seed, but I don't think I've ever successfully taken a picture of it that is pretty in any way
