There is a reason that alcohol is ubiquitous. It facilitates social engagement. When I hear of a person who has successfully given up alcohol, I am sad for them. Of course abuse is bad but the socially liberating effects of alcohol are essential for a happy life. www.nytimes.com/2024/09/17/w...
