“Every time I hear a political speech or I read those of our leaders, I am horrified at having, for years, heard nothing which sounded human. It is always the same words telling the same lies. And the fact that men accept this, that the people’s anger has not destroyed these hollow clowns, strikes me as proof that men attribute no importance to the way they are governed; that they gamble – yes, gamble – with a whole part of their life and their so called ‘vital interests.”

Looking at horror movies on Apple TV, they have a section called Nightmare Fuel, it’s supposed to be movies you can’t unsee. They do a good job with some classics but somehow the mediocre 90s PG-13 Pierce Brosnan volcano movie Dante’s Peak slipped in. I wonder what movie they meant to put there?

One of these films is not like the others lol

the uzumaki animation is so fuckin cool. my only complaint is that i could not gorge on it all at once like i have done with the comic so many times. having the stories running concurrently with that music ratcheting up the whole time worked fuckin great

THE DARK TOWER: ROLAND X (1998/2010) Oil on Panel - 18" x 14" There’s a complicated history behind this image. It was first painted in acrylics to accompany the novella THE DARK TOWER: THE LITTLE SISTERS OF ELURIA by Stephen King. 1/4

With a stolid, determined expression, Roland steps forward with arms crossed in front of him. The brim of his hat shades his eyes but can't hide his penetrating stare. Looking like death incarnate, he holds his big revolvers to form a large X. His belts are similarly crossed at his waist. The dusty, windswept tone of the painting is broken only by the brilliant red fabric tied about his neck. Both his kerchief and his long duster are caught by the breeze as is the rough clump of grass in front of him.

I printed one of these little containers for fun and before I knew it I ended up having to make about 40 more in various colors for my youngest to give out to her class and soccer team the demand got so high

A chapstick, a translucent 3D printed Stanley cup lid with a blue accent, and a blue 3D printed Stanley mug with silver rim, about 2 inches high

Today I learned that Moebius did illustrations for Maxwell House Coffee magazine ads. And they are amazing.
