Hey editors, I want to review for your journals. I really do. When I send a paper in for submission, I expect to hear back in about 8-12 weeks. I think that is fine. People are busy, and I am asking academics to seriously read my work and find where we collectively made mistakes, and do it for free.

But, when you send me a request to review, and say you need it in 14 days...sorry. Can't do it. Give me 60 days. I'm busy. I'm good at what I do, and that means I do a lot of it, and I know what I am doing (mostly) for the next two months and have a ton of priorities in there.
